The Imagine America Foundation is fortunate to annually support thousands of exceptional Career College students through Scholarships for Education. Some students, though, stand out above the rest.

The Imagine America Foundation is pleased to announce our Student of the Week, Eden Hottel from Spencerian College in Louisville, KY. Eden was chosen for her exceptional grades, attendance, and work ethic. Eden has been awarded the Imagine America Foundation's Adult Skills Education Program scholarship and the Adult Excellence Award.

When asking Eden about her college experience, she told us:

"There are three schools in Louisville, KY that have Respiratory Therapy as a program of study. I chose Spencerian College because it fit in best with my schedule. I really liked how the program was designed and organized. All the classes are at night, making it easy for me to work school into my busy schedule. I love that the classes are small at Spencerian, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have all the tools you need to succeed in the classroom.

I chose to study Respiratory Therapy for a couple of reasons. I knew most importantly that I wanted to help people, for that reason I felt pulled into thinking about pursuing something in the health field. What attracted me the most to Respiratory Therapy is that it is concentrated, studies focusing mainly on the pulmonary functions of the body. Where nursing focuses on the whole body, to me that felt overwhelming. Having difficulty breathing is a very scary situation, I want to be that person that can help."
