Growth opportunities in IT are so substantial, we cover it every month in Career College Central so you know exactly prolific this field can be.

For the last 20 years, employment in the Information Technology field has grown rapidly. Since 2003, employment in the IT industry has grown by 37 percent.

In the next decade employment in the IT profession is projected to grow rapidly – so rapidly, in fact, that growth is expected to exceed similar professional, scientific, and technical industries and the economy as a whole. Between 2010 and 2020, output in computer systems design and related services is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 6.1 percent, compared with 3.6 percent for the broad industry category—professional, scientific, and technical services—and 2.9 percent for all industries.
