Student of the Week from

Gene Juarez Academy in

South Federal Way, WA

The Imagine America Foundation is fortunate to annually support thousands of exceptional Career College students through Scholarships for Education. Some students, though, stand out above the rest.

The Imagine America Foundation is pleased to announce our Student of the Week, Jacey Williams from Gene Juarez Academy in South Federal Way, WA. Jacey was chosen for her exceptional grades, attendance, and work ethic. Jacey has been awarded the Imagine America Foundation's High School Scholarship and Promise Award.

When asking Jacey about her college experience, she told us:
"My name is Jacey Williams and I am currently a student at Gene Juarez Academy of Beauty. I chose GJA because of its reputation, the friendly staff, and also because of how high their expectations are. I looked up tons of reviews on Gene Juarez Academy when it came down to deciding where I wanted to pursue my education in Cosmetology. Most of which were extremely positive and encouraging reviews. When I took my tour back May of 2014, I met a lot of the staff at GJA who were all extremely encouraging and welcoming. GJA is very well known for their high expectations in whole as a school and also a standard each student is very strictly held too. That was one of the things that stood out most to me, how much was expected from me as a student. I do believe that when people expect more from you, it pushes you to reach your full potential. I chose to pursue Cosmetology because it is such a unique form of creativity. My favorite part about Cosmetology is that your constant goal is making people feel better about themselves and more confident. Who wouldn't want that as a career?! I'm so happy I chose Cosmetology as my path and I cannot wait to see where it takes me.

Congratulations Jacey!
